Fabulous Friday.

⁷ He holds success in store for the upright,
   he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
⁸ for he guards the course of the just
   and protects the way of his faithful ones. (Prov.2 :7-8)
Want a fabulous friday? If so, there's a pretty good way to make that happen. We see in this proverb that God shields and protects us. This is a great promise to hold on to but you have to remember that we need to do our part. You notice our walks need to be blameless and we need to be faithful. Now don't think because you sin that your walk is ruined because it's no longer blameless. We all sin, no one is perfect. But what we need to do is make sure that we walk in righteousness, repent of our sinful ways, and always ask God for forgiveness. And if we want this protection that is promised here then we need to make sure that we are faithful. Verse 8 reminds me why I just keep following God. When times get tough and I just feel like giving up and doing my own thing, I remember that if I do that then I'm going to be on my own and things are just going to get harder. So instead of doing that I trust in God and remain fatithful, first of all because He is, and also because I know that he guards my course.
So my prayer for us today is that we would walk blameless and remain faithful. I pray that if we feel like giving up or straying from the path that we would be reminded that God will only guide us if we are faithful. I pray that we would understand and hold on to these promises. I pray for strength and faith for us to let God be God.
